Have a Happy Day

Today is a happy day!  I received this fun card in the mail from a fellow Close to My Heart consultant, Diane Bowman.  I love the use of the red shimmer trim to add just a bit of glitz and of course, you can't go wrong with adding a little extra heart bling!  Now it's my turn to put a couple of cards in the mail as my RAK for the month.

Artfully Sent - Sleeve Card Tips

My love affair with the Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge continues.  I'll be making some sleeve cards for sure after watching how simple they are in this short video.

Artfully Sent - Birthday Banner cards

This week I tried a 15 minute challenge and wanted to share the results.  These birthday cards are made from the Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge and Confetti Wishes paper, the bold colors pair nicely with the solid color banner.  I also used the white enamel stars in the cut-out section of the cards.

Supplies used:

Confetti Wishes Paper Pack
White Enamel Stars

Artfully Sent - Celebrate Birthday

I mentioned how much fun I am having with the Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge already, right? I saw a post recently from a fellow consultant who used the negatives (on the left) from the original cut (on the right) and decided to borrow this idea for a couple of birthday cards using the confetti wishes paper pack. For the card on the left, I used the stripe embossing folder to give a little added dimension.

Artfully Sent - 75th birthday card

I've been playing with the Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge lately for a whole series of birthday cards.  For this one, I used Heartstrings paper to make this swing card. I used a full size liner inside so I could layer in the birthday candles.  It's hard to see on the picture but I embossed the white paper for the candles to give them a bit more dimension and used little bits of silver shimmer tape for the flames to add a bit of sparkle.

Mini valentine for Meals on Wheels

I have my supplies lined up for tomorrow night's card making group. The Scrappers of Deforest get together once a month to make 3x3 cards to go out with Meals on Wheels deliveries in the area.  We have a theme each month and a rule that we can only use supplies we already have on hand. The theme this month is Valentine's Day and I had hard time narrowing down to just one option but here's what I ended up with:

Paper:
Heartstrings paper - 3x3" square and use the arrow strip for trim pieces
Random pink paper - 2" scallop heart (Artiste cartridge)

Ink:
Z2128 - Hollyhock ink

Stamp set:
Z1906 - Artbooking heart stamp
M1052 - Mini Valentine for sentiment

Blank card and envelope storage ideas

There was a recent blog post that I ran across about sharing organization tips, unfortunately, I wasn't organized enough to mark the site where I saw this but thought it would still be a good idea to share how I organize blank cards and envelopes for card making projects and workshops in a small Sterlite container.  Then I use cardstock and my Dymo label maker to mark the divider sections.
